The stud was founded in 1975 on Crabbet / Old English bloodlines, which was the obvious choice because of the rich legacy of high class material that was left to us by a number of extraordinarily gifted breeders. 

We are extremely proud to be members of a small but dedicated group of breeders, that still endorses the basic principles implemented by the late Lady Wentworth and we salute our fellow breeders for their wisdom of not distorting their breeding policies under pressure of popular demand. 

The strength of this bloodline is such that it is not only the best source of good legs, movement and ride-ability in the world, but more and more high class individuals are being produced and we are looking forward to the day when this will generally be recognised as the apex of the breed.
